Highway Western Star is a local Family owned and operated Western Star (Daimler) dealership responsible for Western Star, Fuso, Detroit and Cummins product lines. Currently, we are seeking energetic and motivated Licensed 310T Truck Mechanics and Apprentices to join our dedicated team in both our Ayr and Guelph Locations. Licensed Mechanics in Ayr have 6 weeks days and then 2 weeks afternoon rotations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly energetic and eager individual to work within a supportive team within a continuously growing dealership that has maintained staff levels during these unprecedented economic times with no layoffs or closures.
Attributes We Are Looking for:
Licensed Requirements:
- Licensed 310T mechanic
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License – G Class
- Must possess Hand Tools
- Detroit, Cummins and Eaton experience preferred
Apprentice Requirements:
- Registered level 1, 2 or 3 310T (or S ) Apprentice
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License – G Class
- Must possess Hand Tools

Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, diagnostic tests, troubleshooting and general vehicle repair on external and internal customer vehicles
- Maintain & repair company tools and equipment
- Work in compliance with Company Health and Safety policies and OHSA standards
- Complete all online health and safety training
- Complete online Daimler, Detroit, Cummins and Fuso training
